Affordable Solar and the Kroger Company partnered to construct a solar carport for a Fry’s Marketplace Store in Arizona. The objective was to have the structure feel airy and open, as well as blend in aesthetically with the store. The 30-foot solar canopy superstructure now spans and shades over 2 acres of customer parking area.
The 1.877 MW ground mounted system constructed for Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA) is built on solar trackers from Array Technologies, also headquartered in Albuquerque, NM. The tracking system uses a GPS-based controller to increase electricity generation by the PV system to further increase energy savings for ABCWUA.

Affordable Solar constructed the largest-to-date solar carport for Walmart in Truth or Consequences, NM. Construction was completed under a tight schedule, allowing the store to continue to operate with minimal disruption. The carport also features LED lighting to improve visibility in the parking area and provide additional security for Walmart customers.
