Affordable Solar is finalizing construction of a solar system at TEMPUR-PEDIC’s factory in Albuquerque, NM. The solar system is 2.38 MW and will include 1000 MW / 2000 MWH of Tesla ESS. The rooftop solar system and ESS will offset approximately 42% of the electricity usage and 50% of the demand charges at the facility.
The solar system consists of nearly 6000 Boviet 400W bifacial solar modules secured on the roof using the Unirac RM10 mounting system. The solar photovoltaic array feeds 31 SMA Core-1 62.5 kW AC roof-mounted inverters, for a total output capacity of 1,875 kW AC. The solar system will generate over 4,000,000 kWh of clean electricity annually, and is interconnected to PNM’s utility grid. This projects demonstrates TEMPUR-PEDIC’s continuing commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of their facilities and operations.
