The project for the site is a 2,601 kWDC / 2,000 kWAC PV Generation Facility comprising (8,004) 72-Cell, 325W crystalline PV modules, series connected in strings of twenty-nine (29) modules. The array is mounted to an Array Technologies Dura-Track HZ single-axis tracking system, configured in rows of 87-modules each from North-South. Rows of modules are mechanically affixed to the tracking system, supported atop directly driven pilings. Module DC strings are extended to the center of each row, before transitioning to underground conduit and routed along the center-line of the tracker assembly of to distributed, fused, disconnecting, DC Combiners. Combiners are mounted along the center-line of the tracker, and distributed uniformly for ease of operations and maintenance.
Each DC Combiner’s output is routed back to the centralized Inverter, utilizing a shared underground trench, for ease of installation and minimizing of DC cable losses. The central Inverter’s AC output is extended through an enclosed busway to the dedicated step-up transformer’s secondary bushings. The primary output of the transformer is routed underground to a poured-in-place equipment pad, where the circuit then extends through system owner and utility required production metering enclosures before being connected to a utility accessible Customer Generation Disconnect. This disconnect is located adjacent to the interconnecting utility’s distribution system, where the interconnection feeder is coupled via an overhead service feeder tap.
